COVID-19 Mutual Aid Fund for LGBTQI+ BIPOC Folks
The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the particular vulnerability of queer, transgender, non-binary and/or intersex Black, Indigenous folks and other LGBTQI+ people of color (QTIBIPOC folks). Due to our community disproportionately experiencing a lifelong arc of violence and discrimination, many of our community members are impoverished and housing unstable. Many folks in our community are self-employed or in the service economy, and living with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and/or compromised immune systems.

Meals on Wheels of Columbia is a non-profit organization that aims to extend independence to seniors in our community. Each day, we go to the store and get what our clients need and deliver it with their meal the next day. RWCF COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund
The RCWF Board of Directors has approved directing funds raised during this crisis to be allocated in the following ways: 50% FOR DIRECT RELIEF TO INDIVIDUAL RESTAURANT WORKERS, 25% FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SERVING RESTAURANT WORKERS IN CRISIS, 25% FOR ZERO-INTEREST LOANS FOR RESTAURANTS TO GET BACK UP AND RUNNING

The Homies
We are setting up a fund that all food service people can use to see relief from necessary bills during this time and until we can get things back on track in the world. A server that’s been laid off temporarily and is struggling to pay rent, a dishwasher whose car payment is already 35 days late. You get the point. We, as restaurant owners, will work with each other to determine how and what we can do. We can assure you this will NOT go to pay for any aspect of any business. This is for the Homies.

Urgent need: We have had 16 families (approximately 42 children, 18 adults) registered to receive food donations as of this morning. Our team came together and we were able to meet the needs of this number by early morning. In the last several hours, we have had over 40 additional requests for help due to being laid off work TODAY. This is an additional 65 children and their parents.
